Treatment Programs
Dr. Wells utilizes a variety of Chiropractic adjustive techniques and procedures and will choose those that she believes will work best for your individual needs. On your first visit, Dr. Wells will instruct you in what you can do at home to alleviate your symptoms and speed your recovery. By your second or third visit, you will be taught stretching and strengthening exercises appropriate for your condition. We will help you to advance to more challenging exercises when you are ready. In addition to Chiropractic adjusting, your treatment program might include :
- Deep muscle work or soft tissue therapies
- Electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice or moist heat
- Exercise training
- Management of sports injuries
- Evaluation and correction of body mechanics at work or at home
- Nutritional recommendations
- Referrals to medical specialists
Exercise Training
At Remington Chiropractic, we believe in empowering you to take an active role in your own healthcare. We know first hand just how effective Chiropractic treatment can be to relieve your pain and get you back to the activities that you enjoy. In fact, we often have success even when other treatments have failed.
Yet we also know that Chiropractic treatment alone is not enough. In order to achieve lasting results, it is necessary to restore normal movement patterns and strengthen and stretch the supporting musculature around your injured joints. Only exercise can achieve this.
All of our exercise programs are personalized to meet your healthcare needs and fitness goals. Maybe you’d like to be able to play golf again after injuring your lower back. We can help with that!
We know that exercise only works if you do it, so we try to keep it simple and fun. Most of our exercises can be done using only a floor mat, a stability ball or resistive bands. We emphasize Core Conditioning and Functional Exercises to improve balance and coordination and prevent injuries.
We can provide safe, effective exercises for the sedentary senior or challenge the competitive athlete. Our goal is to instruct you in an exercise program that you can continue on your own at home or at the gym.
